Discover how becoming a mother transformed my approach to health, healing, and the root cause philosophy behind The Radiant Health Method.
Sometimes the greatest teachers don't come from textbooks, classrooms, or years of professional experience. Sometimes they come wrapped in a tiny blanket, quietly changing the way you see the world forever.
Before I became a mother, I had already spent years studying the human body.
I earned my doctorate. Completed residency and fellowship in orthopedic manual physical therapy. Studied nutrition and psychology.
Worked with patients every day.
I loved helping people heal, and I believed I had a solid understanding of how the body worked.
But there was something I hadn't yet experienced.
I hadn't yet become responsible for someone whose health mattered more to me than my own.
Everything changed the day my daughter was born.
Like many new parents, I imagined bringing home a healthy baby and gradually settling into our new life together.
Instead, we found ourselves navigating one challenge after another.
Colic. Reflux. Digestive concerns. Eczema. Food allergies. Sleep challenges.
As a healthcare professional, I expected finding answers would be straightforward.
Instead, I found myself asking the same questions so many parents ask every day.
Why is this happening?
What is her body trying to tell us?
Is there something we're missing?
The more answers I searched for, the more I realized that many of the pieces weren't fitting together.
That season of life sparked something in me that has never gone away.
Curiosity.
Not curiosity driven by fear.
Curiosity driven by love.
I wanted to understand why her body was responding the way it was.
That search took me far beyond breastfeeding.
It led me into gut health. Nutrition. The nervous system. Immune function. Food allergies. Emotional health. Environmental influences. Functional medicine. Traditional healing practices.
And countless conversations with parents who were asking many of the same questions I had once asked.
Little by little, I began recognizing something I hadn't fully appreciated before.
The body is incredibly intelligent.
Symptoms aren't random.
They're often meaningful clues.
One of the biggest shifts in my thinking was realizing that symptoms rarely exist in isolation.
Eczema wasn't just about the skin.
Digestive symptoms weren't only about digestion.
Food reactions weren't simply about food.
Everything was connected.
The gut influences the immune system. The nervous system influences digestion. Nutrition affects healing. Sleep affects inflammation. Stress changes physiology.
The more I learned, the more I realized that lasting healing often requires looking at the whole person rather than one diagnosis or one symptom at a time.
Perhaps the greatest lesson motherhood taught me is that every person's health journey is unique.
Two babies can both have eczema.
One may improve after addressing food sensitivities.
Another may need additional support for gut health.
A third may have entirely different contributing factors.
The same is true for adults.
Two people can share the same diagnosis while arriving there through very different paths.
That's why I've become less interested in asking what diagnosis someone has.
And far more interested in understanding the story their body has been telling.
Health histories matter. Life experiences matter. Patterns matter.
Because every body has a unique story.
Looking back now, I realize that what I call The Radiant Health Method didn't begin in a classroom.
It didn't begin with another certification.
It didn't begin with a business plan.
It began with one little girl who unknowingly challenged everything I thought I understood about health.
She taught me to become endlessly curious.
To listen more carefully. To look beyond symptoms. To connect dots that might otherwise be overlooked. To challenge the mainstream.
Those lessons eventually grew into the framework I now use with the families and individuals I have the privilege of serving.
Not because I have every answer.
But because I've learned that asking better questions often leads us much closer to them.
Today, whether someone comes to me with digestive concerns, autoimmune conditions, chronic fatigue, food allergies, chronic pain, eczema, hormone imbalances, or another health challenge, my approach begins in the same place.
I want to understand the whole picture.
Your symptoms. Your health history. Your lifestyle. Your environment. Your nutrition. Your stress. Your goals.
Because every one of those pieces provides clues.
And when we begin connecting those clues, we often gain a clearer understanding of where healing can begin.
If there's one thing motherhood taught me, it's that we don't have to understand everything all at once.
We simply need to become willing to stay curious.
To listen. To notice patterns.
To trust that our bodies are often communicating in ways that deserve our attention.
Healing rarely begins with having all the answers.
More often, it begins with asking better questions.
If you've been struggling with symptoms and aren't sure where to focus your attention first, you don't have to figure it out alone.
During a Root Cause Clarity Session, we'll step back and look at the bigger picture together- your symptoms, health history, lifestyle, and patterns- to identify what deserves your attention first and create a personalized roadmap for moving forward.

Becoming a mother taught me to look beyond individual symptoms and become deeply curious about what the body was trying to communicate. Supporting my daughter through colic, reflux, eczema, digestive challenges, and food allergies led me to study gut health, nutrition, the nervous system, immune regulation, and the interconnected factors that influence healing. Those experiences ultimately shaped what I now call The Radiant Health Method.
The Radiant Health Method is the holistic framework I use to help people better understand the many interconnected factors that influence health and healing. Rather than focusing on symptoms in isolation, it looks at how areas like nutrition, gut health, the nervous system, detoxification, movement, sleep, and emotional well-being work together to influence the body's ability to heal.
I don't view symptoms as random inconveniences. While symptoms can certainly be uncomfortable, they often provide valuable clues about what's happening beneath the surface. Understanding those patterns can help identify where the body may need support.
Every person's health history is unique. Two people may share the same diagnosis but have very different contributing factors, lifestyles, stress levels, nutritional status, gut health, or environmental exposures. That's why I believe healing is most effective when it's personalized rather than based on a one-size-fits-all protocol.
I work with individuals experiencing a wide variety of health concerns, including digestive issues, food allergies, eczema, autoimmune conditions, chronic fatigue, chronic pain, hormone imbalances, nervous system dysregulation, and other chronic symptoms. My focus is on helping people better understand the bigger picture and identify what deserves their attention first.
I work with individuals across the lifespan, including infants, babies, toddlers, children, teens, and adults.
Some people seek support for breastfeeding challenges, colic, reflux, eczema, food allergies, digestive concerns, or other childhood health issues. Others come to me for help with digestive health, autoimmune conditions, chronic fatigue, hormone imbalances, chronic pain, nervous system regulation, and a wide variety of chronic symptoms.
Regardless of age, my approach remains the same: taking time to understand the whole person, connect the dots, and identify what deserves attention first so we can create a personalized path toward better health.
A Root Cause Clarity Session is a personalized consultation designed to help you better understand your health from a holistic perspective. Together, we'll explore your symptoms, health history, lifestyle, and patterns to identify what deserves your attention first and create a clearer roadmap for moving forward.
