Traditional sunscreens have questionable ingredients & even natural sunscreens may not be hypoallergenic depending on your little one's food allergies
If you are an allergy family, an allergy mom, or have food allergies yourself. You may know that food allergens hide in all sorts of places, including sunscreen!
Depending on the severity of the allergies, you may want to skip the sunscreen altogether and you can look stylish doing it, without the sunburn!
UPF clothing is a wonderful option that takes the possibility of allergens totally out of the picture!
What is UPF clothing?
UPF clothing is made of tightly-woven fabric that provides sun protection, kind of like wearing sunscreen. It is typically lightweight and bathing suit material so it dries quickly.
UPF stands for Ultraviolet Protection Factor and identifies how much of the sun's UV rays penetrate through the fabric. For example, a rashguard that is rated at UPF50 allows 1/50th of the sun's rays to come through. Think of it as an SPF rating!
There are now many styles and options available and I wanted to share a few of my favorites!
